Safeguarding Children and Young People Policy
DanceSport has a zero-tolerance policy to harm, abuse and/or neglect of a Child/Young Person in any form. All Children/Young People have the right to feel safe and protected from all forms of abuse, harm, and neglect. Children/Young People have the right to take part in sport in a safe, positive, and enjoyable environment.
DanceSport Australia is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of Children/Young People in DanceSport by providing a safe and inclusive environment and by ensuring that everyone involved in DanceSport is aware of their rights and responsibilities in relation to Children/Young People.
If you have reason to believe that a Child/Young Person is at immediate risk of harm, you must follow the procedures set out in Annexure A: Responding to of Abuse and Harm to Children and Young People and report to the appropriate law enforcement and/or child protection agency.
