International Coach Subsidy - Extension to 31st January 2012

A Dancesport Victoria Initiative

As part of our funding agreement with the Victoria Government (Sport and Recreation Victoria), Dancesport Victoria have set aside funding to partially subsidise lessons for registered Dancesport Victoria members with international coaches during December 2011.

Dancesport Victoria have extended the cut off date of application to the 31st January 2012. Please complete the attached form and return it to your executive officer.

DSV Regional Youth Development Program

Dancesport Victoria is pleased to introduce an exciting new Regional Youth Development Program for 2011.

This program consists of financial assistance, in the form of a grant, to Victorian Youth, Junior and Juvenile dancesport competitors registered with Dancesport Australia.

This grant may be allocated by DanceSport Victorian to individuals who live in regional Victorian areas to provide some assistance with regard to travel and coaching costs, particularly those incurred in travelling to and from the Melbourne Metropolitan areas with the purpose of competing in DSA registered events.

Dancesport Victoria is now calling for applications under this program for 2011.

Full rules are attached, below is a brief outline of eligibility:

Any individual that competes in the Youth, Junior or Juvenile registered competitor Age Divisions as of 1 November 2011 may apply.
One Application represents the couple, not each individual
The official application form must be completed and submitted, along with supporting letters or emails, plus any supporting information that may be necessary.
DanceSport Victoria has appointed a project team to manage this program that will assess and decide upon who is to receive grants. Their decisions will be final.
DanceSport Victoria will reimburse the costs of those successful individuals, provided that those costs are incurred between 1 January 2011 and 31 December 2011, up to the value of the grant made.

Subsidised Membership to Dancesport Australia

As part of Dancesport Victoria's recent initiatives to increase the number of registered competitors, all Open medallist couple winners may receive a one-off fully subsided membership to DSA.

If you have recently won an open medallist couple event at any dancesport competition, download the following document, complete it and Dancesport Australia membership forms and return it to the state registrar.
