For our Latin American Workshop this Sunday we have Karina Schembri! Read on to learn a little more about Karina....
Karina has been ballroom dancing from the age of 8 years old, and comes from a family of successful ballroom dancers. Her parents Alex and Julie were World Cup Champions before Karina was born.
Having travelled extensively overseas, she has represented Australia in numerous world championship events for Ballroom, Latin, and 10 Dance, with her favourite competition being the Blackpool Dance Festival in England.
Karina has been successful in winning many prestigious titles throughout her career. Some of her career highlights include: Australian Professional Latin Dancesport Champion, Australian representative to numerous World Championship events, cast member on touring theatre production of Burn the Floor and featured on Channel 7’s Dancing with the Stars Australia series 7.
Karina's workshop is one not to be missed!
In order to provide more opportunity for our regional members, DSNSW will be livestreaming this event! Anyone outside of the Sydney metro area will be able to stream the workshops from home. In some cases, potentially saving 8 hours of driving time for our regional dancers.
